Composed in long and unbroken takes, the camera follows Ivy as she walks the street, hangs out with her mom, and goes to parties. Director Bradley Rust Gray’s use of the lens and sound allows one to see the inner life of Ivy as she is frequently seen in moments of silent contemplation while the city blooms and bustles around her. Slow, methodical, but beautiful, I liked how this film lets you take it all in and brings you closer to the character as she moves through her life.
