Set in Ontario, the film tells the tragic story of a young man with Tourette’s syndrome who undergoes an experimental procedure in order to cure his symptoms. It works, but ends up costing him more than money - he loses his unique ability to heal others, and is forced to deal with new dynamics in his family, including the departure of his sister and his mother’s drug-dealing boyfriend. Since I will be seeing it for the first time with the rest of the audience on monday, I’ll save you my speculation.
