Partner Theatres

You may still have three months until CIFF starts, but there are plenty of great films playing in Calgary. Keep reading to see some of the titles that will be hitting our partner theatres this month.

If you’re looking for a great mix of art house fare and musical acts this month look no further than the Uptown Stage and Screen. Looking to escape the megaplex for a night? Be sure to visit the Globe Cinema, which features a wide variety of fantastic films this month. Period comedies Easy Virtue and Cheri are currently playing and will provide a great summer escape, while upcoming critically acclaimed films Fifty Dead Men Walking and Moon will be sure to get you ready for the festival. The Plaza Theatre – 1133 Kensington Road N.W.

For the best in alternative films and events look no further than the Plaza Theatre. July features a hit from the film festival circuit, Adrift in Tokyo, as well as the thriller Sin Nombre. There are also plenty special events, such as the July 17, 2009 screening of the documentary Operation Imani: Ideas for Sustainable African Development.
